Dana Cook

Learn more about Dana

After 12 years working at sea, Dana dropped anchor in the gardening world by becoming a Master Gardener in 2023. She is learning how to maintain her NCW yard, which is quite different from the southern landscape from which she came in 2021.

Dana is most interested in rewilding her traditional landscape into a natural wonderland that sustains local pollinators and wildlife. She is also on the team of Master Gardeners, who writes monthly columns for the Wenatchee World. Her topics of interest include beginning gardening, native plants, eco-conscious gardening, and climate change.
