Okanogan Street Community Garden Tour for Master Gardeners

April 12 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Dave Erickson, Director of the City of Wenatchee Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department, will lead a tour and education session for Master Gardeners at the Okanogan Street Community Garden. During this session, he will present a history of the garden and its development. The staff will also explain the rental process and other programmatic matters, including staff support for repairs and waste removal.

The Okanogan Street Community Garden, established by the City of Wenatchee in 2023, is situated at the intersection of Okanogan and Yakima streets in Wenatchee. As it enters its second growing season, the garden, serving the immediate neighborhood, has garnered significant interest, with a waiting list for renting space. Many of the gardeners are new to gardening and are enthusiastic about learning more about the art of cultivation.

Master Gardeners who attend this session will earn 1 hour of Continuing Education (CE).
